Ordino Arcalís (Part of Grandvalira Resorts)

The Freeride Capital: Due to its northern location and natural bowl shape, Arcalís is renowned as Andorra's premier freeride resort, holding a round of the Freeride World Tour.

Pico del Hortell: Often recommended as an easier itinerary for those starting in freeride.

Tristaina Peak: An intermediate to advanced route.

Grandvalira (El Tarter, Soldeu, and Grau Roig Sectors)

Grandvalira is the largest ski area and features 14 designated off-piste areas across its sectors.

El Tarter / Soldeu: These sectors are highly rated for off-piste, particularly after fresh snow. The terrain around Soldeu offers accessible off-piste near the lift system.

Grau Roig: Known for some excellent off-piste lines, including the Grau Roig Far West area, which provides fun, safe alpine terrain through scattered forest.

Montmalús to Pessons: A long, advanced ski mountaineering (skimo) route (around 4.5 hours) for well-trained explorers.

Serra de les Solanelles: Offers fun jumps and rolling terrain accessible from the main piste.

Pal Arinsal (Part of Grandvalira Resorts)

The Arinsal sector offers some good off-piste, especially in the upper bowl, where snow retention is excellent.

Wood Off-piste: Look for tree-lined off-piste areas like La Comellada in the Pal sector.

Important Note: Always check local avalanche conditions, consider hiring a guide, and ensure you have the necessary safety equipment (transceiver, shovel, probe) when venturing off-piste.

Remember, Andorra is not part of the EU, so your GHIC will not work here. Ski insurance is an absolute must here.
