What are the main differences between ski racing in a ski school and ski racing outside of a ski school?

In a ski school, there is more emphasis on perfecting technique and skills needed in ski racing; outside of it, skiers and snowboarders have usually attained these skills and are just ready to race.

In Ski School, racing is made more accessible, especially at the start and for beginners, by making it less challenging and less steep downhill and flags further apart for slalom.

In Ski school, you are not focused as much on winning but as much on fundamentals like technique and getting experience for racing. Outside of ski school, it's more about endurance, agility, and how fast you can go.

Ski school racing is usually for schools or amateur clubs instead of experienced racers outside of ski school.

Insurance premiums are cheaper if you are racing in a ski school, £45 for a week as opposed to £64, and an Annual Policy (unlimited KSi racing days) is £106 versus £145.
