Compulsory Season Ski Insurance for Italy
It is compulsory to have ski insurance for the Season in Italy; the minimum third-party liability insurance coverage is 1 million euros. This is taken quite seriously in Itlay in that :
-
It would be best if you carried it all the time you're skiing
-
If you are caught without it, then you can be fined up to 150 euros
-
If you do not have a Policy, then your ski season pass can be revoked
It's best to save the insurance to your phone and write down the details on paper or photocopy your Policy certificate and carry it in a pocket on your ski jacket.
Or, if you have an insurance card, carry it with you; the police or ski patrol can ask you for proof at any time.
Also, make sure your policy covers all winter sports activities that you will be doing, such as Off-piste without a guide, Cross-Country Skiing, Ski Touring, and tobogganing.
